We met Tracy and Justin in their Wash Park bungalow, which consisted of just 1,100 square feet. It was just before their wedding and they were looking to gain usable space from their otherwise dark, damp, unusable basement. It was truly a joint venture between homeowner and contractor, as Justin and Tracy did the demo, waterproofing and French drain work while we did the utility updates, framing, plumbing and all the other “tough stuff.” We used skilled carpenters, tile and paint crews, as well as other finishing tradesmen to deliver the space in time for the holidays!
Castle Builds was able to give them a new bedroom, 3/4 bath, huge laundry room, a walk up bar, family room with built-ins, some great storage space, and a re-worked stair case along with hand railing. It became a beautiful space after all the personal touches Tracy worked so hard to coordinate. We thought this was going to be a man cave, yet I think that Tracy and their Golden retrievers have laid claim to the space!
